Virginie Cole, French Artist.
View Artist Virginie coles web site www.lamachouille.com. She is a talented painter and loves to work with paper mache. She has a big passion for animals so it's not surprising they feature in almost all her work. I first came across her on www.papiermache.co.uk two years ago.
Meg Lemieur, American Artist living and working in the USA.
Meg is a superb enthusiastic young artist. She demonstrates the amazing versatility of Paper. when used in modelling or sculpture.
It was very exciting for us to have her present her own 'Window' sculpture. All the objects she has so carefully created presents the traditional story of 'Jack and the Bean Stalk'.
Her work is inspirational to anyone who wants to start making art objects with this material. check out http://www.papiermache.co.uk/gallery/artist/361/1#gallery

Santa Fee Cowboy' by Spencer.
In my Window sits a cowboy who has come to experience living in France.A small group of local French children helped me in the design.

'The Shrine.' by Spencer. Assisted by the group.

Considering La Colle Sur loup's history in the growing of 'Roses' for perfume.

Old cottage window inhabited by animal campaigner Brigitte Bardot. Spencer assisted by group.
The window of this house is old but full of charm and character. A rather sad little bird sits in his cage outside and inside momento's of Brigitte and a small dog.

The Attic Room. Window by Natalie.
Abandoned old toys, cobwebs and dust. Natalie revisits memories of her childhood. The figure of an old man can be seen on the back wall. A much loved and worn out teddy bear is slumped on a box of treasures. Outside the window hangs an empty bird cage.

Jungle Menagerie' Spencer's Window.
It was great fun to imagine that this person was so in love with trips to Brazil that they turned their home into rain forest, complete with exotic animals, birds and insects.

Isabelle's Window.
The top of this window dominates like a grand Napoleonic hat. The face in the middle staring out at you is actually a cast taken from Isabelle's own husband's. All the objects suggest a well traveled person. A globe, maps, a parrot and a telescope.

Alain's ' The Artists Window.'
Alain said he always liked to look through our own window because of the many Art objects on view. They changed often and you never knew what to expect. Large items would sometimes be poking out through the windows into the street.

Aurore's 'Window'.
Aurore put much effort into creating her interior which is full of worn out objects. An old chair, broken spectacle's, torn books, an old coat etc. The interior is dark and gloomy but the exterior is much more positive. Aurore recognizes how easy it is for some people to become prisoners in their own home.
Evelyn's Window.
On the outside Evelyn created a series of body parts sculptured into the stone work or her round window. On the inside their are floating medicine bottles and syringes and an operation being carried out. I guess the surgeon who lives here brings his work home every night.

Laurence's Window.
The interior was very detailed with many objects very carefully decorated. A table, a desk, a clock and lots of books. The shadow of a lady sits writing. Even the bricks above the actual window suggests more books.

Stephanie's Window.
The interior of Stephanie's Window is like a dense forest. Two black silhouetted figures are running through the foliage. The whole exterior of the Window is camouflaged in a leaf design.

Paula's Window.
Paula had a particular friend in mind as she conceived her Window design. She used materials and patterns that reminded her of her friends home, experiences and interests.

Laurence.

Evlyne.

Natalie.

Alain in this photo is applying 'coloured' tissue paper to his crocodile object for his Window. This tecnique is a good alternative to painting, and of course it replicates the same method as if one was applying paper mache.
All the windows received at least '10 coats' of paper mache (2 coats at a time and five applications) to give them the required strength.
An electric sander makes light work of large flat surface areas.
